This clean, casual restaurant specializes in a wide range of very good vegetarian curries — eggplant, cabbage, potatoes and peas, okra, and papaya to name a few — each seasoned delicately and differently from the others. Interesting pastries, breads, side dishes, and salads (such as cucumbers and carrots in yogurt) cool off the fire set by some of the curries. The items are displayed cafeteria-style near the entrance to the second-floor dining room, or get the all-you-can-eat thali sampler and try a little of everything.Downstairs has an excellent yogurt and ice-cream bar; climb the spiral stairs to reach the air-conditioned dining room. The Hare Krishna ownership allows no alcoholic beverages or smoking. There are total of 4 restaurants owned and operated under the Radhagolokabihari Temple administration.
The proceeds of the restaurant is completly used for Krishna Consciousness activities and to maintain the temple. It is a self sufficiency project undertaken by the pioneers of ISKCON Suva. Spending at any Hare Krsna restaurant means all money goes to the temple directly. The four restaurant are located at Pratt Street, Cuming Street, Dolphins Plaza and opposite the University of the South Pacific.
Each restaurant is strategically located with guest of all races and religion taking full adavantage of tasty sumputous vegetarian cuisine. The opening hours of all restaurants is from 8.00 a.m till 5p.m however shop opposite the University of the South Pacific closes late at 8p.m.
Radhaika Prem mataji, who happens to be the temple Head Pujari with senior devotees from the temple personally manages and supervises the quality of service, customer service querries and every day affairs of the restuarant. The restaurant is also open to catering for private functions such as weddings, parties and other similar events.
